Gemma Arterton has admitted she feels drawn to the supernatural, after taking a role in psychological thriller The Voices.

The former Bond girl, who plays a vampire in her latest movie Byzantium, has just finished shooting Marjane Satrapi's psychological thriller alongside Ryan Reynolds and Anna Kendrick.

"Oh my gosh, I can't tell you how excited I am," Gemma said.

"It's again another bizarre supernatural film, which I seem to be drawn to. I like going into a world that's not quite real.

"I just wrapped it and I don't want to give too much away because it's really surprising as well, but I'm really excited about it."

The Voices tells the story of a disturbed factory worker (played by Ryan) who hears advice from his pet dog and cat, and is implicated in the accidental death of his co-worker.

Gemma said: "I enjoyed every minute of this film (Byzantium) and The Voices equally. I'm working with a supremely talented director Marjane Satrapi who directed Persepolis, and a wonderfully talented cast ranging from Ryan, Jacki Weaver and Anna."

The Tamara Drewe actress stars alongside Saoirse Ronan in Neil Jordan's vampire film Byzantium, which is in cinemas now.
