Charlize Theron may play a less than likeable character in her latest movie, but the actress has revealed she was drawn to the "flawed" role.
In Young Adult, Theron takes on the character of Mavis Gary, a teen novelist who moves back the town where she grew up and attempts to steal back her married high school boyfriend, played by Patrick Wilson.
"I thought she was a real human being," the Oscar-winning actress explained.
"She was very flawed and she was very abrasive, and all of those things, but I saw a real human being in there and I guess that was the thing that I just hung onto when I made the film."
Charlize won an Oscar for playing serial killer Aileen Wuornos in Monster and will soon be seen on screen playing the Evil Queen in Snow White And The Huntsman.
