Anna Kendrick has revealed that getting the opportunity to scold George Clooney was "awesome".
The softly-spoken actress plays George's character's work colleague in Up In The Air, and tells him off in one stand-out scene.
"I'm normally so timid in real life that I get excited by my character getting to tell people off - telling someone like George off was pretty awesome," said Anna, who, at 24, is half the age of her co-star.
Anna, whose on-screen rapport with George has helped win her Golden Globe and Bafta nominations for best supporting actress, didn't think she would actually get to work with the Michael Clayton star.
"I didn't really assume that George was doing it for real, I thought it was too good to be true, to be working on this script and working with George Clooney," she recalled.
"I just thought it was one of those things that was rumoured, and then Jason (director Jason Reitman) told me and I got really excited."
:: Up In The Air is released on January 15.
