Anna Faris has confessed she almost didn't become an actress because she didn't think it was a practical career.
The 34-year-old Scary Movie star appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman to promote her new comedy What's You Number, and revealed, while her parents had encouraged her to act since she was a child, she quit at university.
Anna said: "My mom enrolled me in this acting class when I was six... I loved it, although I quit acting in college."
She added: "I just didn't think it was practical."
But The House Bunny star revealed she went on to pursue acting as she didn't feel she had any other talents.
She joked: "I don't really know how to type, or do anything with computers. I had no other options career-wise!"
Anna revealed her parents were very supportive of her career, but she is not sure if they are proud of her string of spoof comedies, despite their success.
"My mom wanted me to be like Amelia Earhart or Joan of Arc. Lofty! Instead I'm queen of spoof comedies," she said.
