Jennifer Aniston will battle it out with Chris Hemsworth, Leonardo DiCaprio, Zac Efron and Sam Claflin for the title of best shirtless performance at the MTV Movie Awards.

The former Friends beauty's pole-dancing scene in We're The Millers made her the only woman to be nominated for the award, pitching her against the four Hollywood hunks.

Other tongue-in-cheek categories include best kiss, best scared-as-s*** performance and #WTF moment.

Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams' smooch in American Hustle is up for best kiss, as is Jennifer Aniston's three-way kiss with Emma Roberts and Will Poulter in We're The Millers, and James Franco's snog with Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens in Spring Breakers.

American Hustle and The Wolf Of Wall Street lead nominations with eight nods apiece, followed by The Hunger Games: Catching Fire with seven nominations and We're The Millers with six.

Oscar winner 12 Years A Slave is up for four categories, including best male performance for Chiwetel Ejiofor and best villain for Michael Fassbender.

British hopes lie with Benedict Cumberbatch, who received a nomination for best villain for his role in Star Trek Into Darkness, Christian Bale for best on-screen transformation in American Hustle and Will Poulter's rendition of Waterfalls in We're The Millers for best musical moment.

Henry Cavill and Martin Freeman will face each other to be voted best hero for their roles as Superman in Man Of Steel and Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit films respectively.

There's a nod for the late Paul Walker as he and Fast And Furious co-star Vin Diesel have been nominated for best on-screen duo, although they face competition from Oscar-winners Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto, Amy Adams and Christian Bale, Ice Cube and Kevin Hart and Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Conan O'Brien will host the ceremony, which takes place at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre on April 13.
