Amy Adams is apparently set to play Philip Seymour Hoffman's wife in a new film.
The Enchanted star will appear in Paul Thomas Anderson's untitled movie, which is set to begin production later this month, Deadline reports.
Philip plays a man who, having witnessed the horrors of the Second World War, forms a new faith. He will also be joined by Joaquin Phoenix as his right-hand man.
Amy, who received an Oscar nomination for her performance in The Fighter, plans to work on this project before starting filming on the Zack Snyder-directed Superman franchise reboot Man Of Steel, where she is to play Lois Lane.
Her next roles include On The Road, Walter Salles' big-screen adaptation of the Jack Kerouac novel of the same name, and Disney's The Muppets movie.
