Look out Girls...Victoria Beckham wants a role on the HBO show
Victoria Beckham has reportedly asked for a cameo in Girls.
The British fashion designer was introduced to the US TV show's creator Lena Dunham earlier this year and last month they sat together at a major fashion party in Los Angeles.
It's claimed Victoria took the opportunity to discuss working together with the 27-year-old star.
"Victoria said she would love a cameo in the next season. Lena said she would love that and would work on creating a suitable role - most likely, Vic playing herself," an insider told British magazine Heat.
The designer has a genuine interest in Girls, which has become one of her favourite TV shows. It has been praised all over the world for its depiction of the real problems faced by young women as they attempt to start their careers, in this case in New York City.
"Victoria told Lena how she and David are 'huge fans' of the show, which her pal Eva Longoria urged her to watch. Vic said they loved how down-to-earth and real the comedy-drama was. She even said she wants [their daughter] Harper to watch it when she's old enough, to get a more 'all round and real education and perspective' of girls and their trials and tribulations," the source explained.
Lena is said to be astounded that Victoria is such a fan of her. She is already working out how to get her involved, but also saw it as an opportunity to get some help from one of the most stylish women in the world.
"Lena said she'd sort out a role if Victoria would give her a makeover. Lena is down in the dumps over being slaughtered for her poor fashion sense and believes Victoria can upgrade her style. Plus, Lena pointed out to Victoria that she'll get good press for styling a girl who isn't model skinny. The pair got on so well that they swapped numbers and Victoria told Lena to get in touch when she was next in London," the source said.
