Liam Neeson certainly knows how to do presents.

Just when we thought we couldn't love Liam Neeson any more, he goes and does something brilliant.

Earlier this week, the star dropped into Irish-owned New York bar The Dead Rabbit, which was named the World's Best Bar in 2015.

Never one to be impolite, the 64-year-old came bearing gifts.

But instead of a box of chocolates, Neeson gave the bar the Celtic cross that he carried in 2002 blockbuster Gangs of New York.

The delighted staff at the bar took to Facebook to share the news, saying:

"Remember the big celtic cross that Liam Neeson carried with him in Gangs of New York? Well the coolest thing happened last nght...."

They shared the update alongside a photo of Neeson and the cross in the pub, as well as a snap from a scene in the film.

You can't get much more Irish than that now, can you?
