An Irish man is set to appear on tonight's episode of Body Fixers but he's described himself as a "nightmare" contestant.

Body Fixers in an E4 show that gives makeovers to people who aren't happy with a certain part of their appearance.

Alan McGarry-Love (27) is from Ballyfermot in Dublin and feature's on tonight's episode. He has been dying his red hair black every week for years and he went on the show in the hope of wearing his natural colour with pride.

However, he told Breakfast Republic this morning, he was NOT happy with the results.

"I'm probably the most controversial person they've ever had on the show," he said. "I wasn't very happy with my look - I probably shouldn't say that," he revealed.

"Everyone who's been on the show - the main cast - have been tweeting saying 'the nightmare comes on the show tonight', which is obviously me.

"When I saw the look, it was my instant reaction... I was traumatised when I saw it... all I saw was Worzel Gummidge."

"I wouldn't leave the studio. They were demanding that I leave because my flight was in three hours time. I wasn't leavig. I made sure I went back to black... I didn't leave on good terms."

The aspiring TV presenter said he went on the show in order to embrace his ginger roots.

"Ginger hair is really popular now. Back when I was a teenager it was never popular, people would call me 'ginger bunny, 'ginger this, ginger that'. I just hated it. I really hated it. I had no confidence," he told the Breakfast Republic presenters.

"Even when I was going to gay clubs I didn't feel like anybody was even paying attention to me. I just didn't feel like I was fitting in."

The Ballyfermot man said he's happy that he has returned to his raven-hued hair, despite the Body Fixers team's best efforts to convince him to embrace his natural hair colour.

"I'm really into my looks and I wanted to look good for the public. I was confident [with black hair], walking around town and doing various shows.

Alan said that maintaining his black hair requires a lot of maintenance and admitted to dyeing them each week to avoid roots. He also confessed to getting lip filler injections.

"I feel better with black hair, black eyebrows and bigger lips."

Body Fixers is on E4 tonight at 9pm.
