It's nearly two weeks since Adam Gilmour was knocked down and killed on a country road as he walked two miles in the darkness to meet the schoolbus.
And still they refuse to divert the bus a couple of miles to ensure the remaining kids in the family will not have to live with the fear of history repeating itself.
They face the prospect of returning home, trying to rebuild their lives, and walking back down that darkened road past the spot where their brother died just to get to school - while the Board compiles a report into the incident.
Some decisions demand to be taken and not subjected to some meaningless time and motion formula.
