FACTORY FRINGE

The Factory, Upper Abbeygate Street, Galway, tonight (€5/€8)

As arts festival fever grips Galway for the next two weekends, culture vultures will be looking for opportunities to let their hair down. Idiosyncratic UK DJ and label boss Alexander Nut is just the ticket, blending vintage soul and African music with modern gems.

NAPHTA

Seomra Spraoi, Belvedere Court, Dublin 1, tonight (€10)

Drum & bass, jungle and grime fans unite to stuff their face with bass. Naphta headlines with support slots from local legends Welfare and Bob. This is a bring- your-own-booze event and therefore a cost-effective, quality option for some serious partying tonight.

STRICTLY HUSH HUSH

Eden Bar & Grill, South William Street, Dublin 2, tonight and tomorrow (free)

The team behind long-standing clubbing institutions Strictly Handbag, Ultra Lounge and Strictly Fish return to offer something truly different. Strictly Hush Hush aims to recapture the more glamorous, golden age of clubbing with a luxurious touch.

BIG DISH GO

Twisted Pepper, Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1, tomorrow (€10/€12)

POGO present another sensational line up at the Twisted Pepper with Space Dimension Controller, Frank B, Acid Future doing an audio visual show, Adam Keni, Big Dish Go DJs and many more. Surely a night to remember.
