Woman gets stuck in a tree while playing Pokemon Go
'Think about what you are doing and where you are going before you actually do it,' rescue services warn
A woman had to call emergency services after getting stuck in a tree while playing Pokemon Go.
The local fire and rescue services were called to assist the young woman after she had climbed a tree in a cemetry in New Jersey while trying to catch a Pokemon.
East Greenwich Township Fire and Rescue had to set up an extension ladder and help the woman down to ground level.
Following the incident, the rescue service published a message on their Facebook page warning people playing Pokemon Go to avoid dangerous situations.
It read: "Tonight District 19 was dispatched to Eglington Cemetery for a Pokemon stuck in a tree, along with the person who was chasing it.
"Rescue Squad 1918 set up a extension ladder and was able to assist the person back down to the ground safely.
"For all those out there playing Pokemon Go, take heed of all of the warnings and be careful not to put yourself into bad situations.
"Think about what you are doing and where you are going before you actually do it."
The woman is said to have "reluctantly admitted" the incident occured as a result of playing the game.
It comes amid a surge in public warnings from emergency services worldwide for people to avoid danger while playing Pokemon Go.
Cleveland Police issued a warning after a driver in Stourbridge, West Midlands, was fined for playing while driving.
In another incident in the US someone drove into a police car while playing the game at the wheel.

A teenager was shot dead in Guatemala after being ambushed while playing the game with his cousin.
Other incidents involving Pokemon Go have included people falling off cliffs or being robbed at gunpoint as they search for Pokemon.
