Tributes paid to YouTube star TotalBiscuit who has died aged 33 following cancer battle
YouTuber John Bain, best known as TotalBiscuit, has died aged just 33.
The hugely popular video game reviewer retired from vlogging in April after bowel cancer spread and became terminal.
He was first diagnosed in 2014 and went into remission but the cancer later returned.
John had amassed a following of 2.2 subscribers to his YouTube channel over the course of eight years.
Last month he took to Reddit to reveal that his cancer was terminal, saying his treatment was no longer effective and adding, "I'm currently coming to terms with the fact that I don't have long left" but asked people not to speculate on his prognosis.
John's wife Genna took to Twitter to post a poem in tribute to her husband.
Other gamers have also paid tribute on social media.

If you have memories with @Totalbiscuit I would love to hear them.— Boogie298Chungus (@Boogie2988) May 25, 2018
I only got to play a few games with him but when heroes of the storm was new he and I played a few rounds. I was so anxious I couldn't play.
He criticized us all when we lost except me, who he encouraged.
Beyond saddened to hear of the passing of John Bain @Totalbiscuit class gentleman and really regretting not being more diligent in making time in the schedule to do his podcast. My condolences to his family and all his friends.— Samoa Joe (@SamoaJoe) May 25, 2018
We've lost a great critical thinker today, but @Totalbiscuit influence on the industry will not be forgotten. You've inspired so many gamers to be smarter about their fav pastime. I fondly remember matching XCOM wits & trading photon torpedoes in our board games. RIP. Miss u man! pic.twitter.com/nzs4Ot4e2V— Joe Vargas (@AngryJoeShow) May 25, 2018
