DICE today announced that the Star Wars Battlefront beta will get underway on October 8th and will run until October 12th on PC, PS 4, and Xbox One.

The Force will collide on October 8th when the Star Wars Battlefront beta gets underway.

The beta will be open to everyone on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One from October 8th until October 12th.

Included in the beta are three game modes spread across three of Star Wars’ iconic planets. Players will be able to experience 40-player battles in the Walker Assault on Hoth; the 8v8 Drop Zone on Sullust; and the cooperative Survival Mission on Tatooine.

This will also be the first opportunity to try out the Star Wars Battlefront Companion experience. This features the strategic card game Base Command, and lets you earn in-game Credits that unlock Star Cards, weapons, and more in Star Wars Battlefront. It can also be used to view game stats and progression, customise load-outs and appearance, and connect with friends.

Players partaking in the beta are warned that this is meant as a technical test, so there may be interruptions to gameplay during the beta.

The Star Wars Battlefront beta will be available to download from the various platform’s online stores and will clock in at 8GB.
