The remastered version of the critically acclaimed game features gameplay and visual updates as well as content previously available as DLC.

The original game, released in 2012, saw players explore Hong Kong's underbelly as undercover cop Wei Shen. Players had to balance their reputation with both sides of the law and could ultimately decide which side of the divide their character fell.

Speaking about the Definitive Edition, Dan Sochan, Senior Producer at United Front Games said: “We’re giving old and new fans a lot reasons to pick up the game, as we’ve gone beyond just increasing resolution and running at 1080p.  We listened to the fans: we tuned gameplay, we added to the ambience of Hong Kong, increased audio fidelity and pushed the visuals further than we could on the previous generation of consoles.”

The re-mastered version will integrate a total of 24 pieces of downloadable content into the game.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition is due for released on the 10th of October 2014 for Playstation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
