A game about a screaming man and a wailing goat in a shopping trolley which you control by shouting into a microphone? What are they smoking up in Belfast, whence this amusing kart racer comes?

The delightfully named Billy Goat Entertainment takes a daft idea about a co-op racer and runs wild with it, piling on a layer of absurdity (the goat, the outlandish courses set in supermarkets and boutiques) and a deranged steering system.

Voice control proves an idea too far but the fallback of two gamepad triggers verges on mind-melting. In a good way. Mostly.

Perhaps the novelty factor wears off too soon but Supermarket Shriek deserves some love at the tills.
