Metal Gear Solid V will have horse armour DLC
Konami has either learned a valuable lesson from Bethesda's horse armour snafu years ago, or it's going to repeat the same mistake with MGSV's DLC.
Almost ten years ago, Bethesda made a horrible misstep by releasing horse armour DLC for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Konami is hoping that its horse armour will go down better with fans.
Konami revealed during its Tokyo Games Show panel that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s DLC will be made up of a couple of pieces of horse armour as well as some wearable costumes for characters.
You’ll be able to don a tuxedo if you want to feel like James Bond, while there’s also Metal Gear Solid 3’s version of stealth camo, and a new set of jungle fatigues. There’s also some clothing for women, which you can put on any rescued female prisoner who can then be played as. Choices include the trademark outfits of both The Boss and Eva from Snake Eater.
Konami is yet to reveal how much this DLC will set you back. It’s also unclear if Konami has plans for story-led DLC for The Phantom Pain.
