GTA V mod brings Grand Theft Auto: Vice City back to life
A modder is re-creating GTA: Vice City in Grand Theft Auto V.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, launched in 2002, was based on Miami, so the leap to the Los Angeles-based GTA V isn't an unthinkable one.
The modder and YouTuber Taltigot uploaded a video of the work in progress map, seen below.
The video is played to the backdrop of an epic sunset and gives us a tour of the much of the landscape. While the mod is clearly a work-in-progress without final textures, the layout will be familiar to anybody who found themselves talking like an extra in Goodfellas after too many hours playing as Tommy Vercetti.
The ultimate icing on the cake will be the phenomenal 80s soundtrack of the original and the pure pleasure of driving a car while listening to Gary Numan's Cars.
