Bandai Namco announced at Tokyo Game Show that Dark Souls III will be released in April, 2016. Before that, a Network Stress Test will be conducted.

Bandai Namco today revealed that the third chapter in the Dark Souls series will be released in April 2016.

That’s about as specific as the publisher was willing to be. However, those eager to get their hands on Dark Souls III can register to be a part of the Network Stress Test, which will be held in October.

This is designed to allow elected testers to play the game for various tech verifications. Its objective is to improve the quality of the final product. This Network Stress Test will be conducted on PlayStation 4, and those interested can register on the Dark Souls III website.

Multiplayer gameplay evaluation

Game balance evaluation

 

Registering:

September 18th, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. CEST to Sunday, October 4th, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. CEST (planned)

 

Network Stress Test sessions:

Friday, October 16th, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. CEST

Saturday, October 17th, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. CEST

Sunday, October 18th, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. CEST
