Bethesda just posted a new Dishonored 2 video to its YouTube channel that shows off Karnaca.

It looks like a more pleasant setting than Dishonored’s Dunwall. Arkane Studios Co-Creative Director Harvey Smith described Karnaca as being modelled after Greece or Spain or Italy. It’s called “the jewel of the south” and offers a warmer climate than Dunwall, which could be said was modelled on England or Scotland.

While it looks nicer to amble around, there is some nastiness to be found. Dishonored 2 doesn’t seem to have rats, but it has bloodflies instead. These bugs nest inside corpses and the more corpses you leave around, the more bloodflies will be present. And they will attack you if you get too close.

Smith wouldn’t give too much away about the game, but hinted that something exciting happens at the start, regardless of who you’re playing as, that will prompt you to go on the run.

Dishonored 2 is scheduled for release sometime in 2016.
