Wicklow Arts Festival 2015 - street theatre, circus fun, puppetry and more

The Aoife Doyle Band will kick off this year's Wicklow Arts Festival on Friday May 22.

It's the 12th year of the annual three-day arts and culture festival and this year's programme includes street theatre, circus fun, dancing, puppetry, photography, exhibitions, comedy food markets, music and more.


The Aoife Doyle Band performing an intimate, candle-lit, jazz gig at ‘The Venue’ Wicklow Town @8.30pm on Friday May 22.  Tickets available via the Courthouse Arts Centre

Shadows and Light,  Saturday 23rd May @ 8pm in Dominican Convent Chapel, Wicklow Town. They will perform a tribute to the life and music of Joni Mitchell. Tickets €10 (discount on group bookings) available via and in Earls Newsagents, main street Wicklow Town.

Master of gore, author Darren Shan, will be reading and signing his books for all his fans at the Grand Hotel, Wicklow Town.

Galway act, PigNut Productions teams up with The Mermaid Arts Centre on both nights to run a series of shows throughout both days.

‘Circus Outside the Box’, Saturday 23rd May featuring performance artist Francesca Castellano.

Medieval Living History Village, put together by the Fingal Living History group, will host demonstrations of crafts and combat enactments to the backdrop of Wicklow town’s historic Abbey Ruins.

Both The Maguire Band and the Army No.1 Band will play Sunday afternoon. Friday 22nd May – Sunday 24th May
