Armed with wellies, tent poles and an endless supply of dry shampoo, more than 50,000 revellers have descended on Stradbally and the party has begun.
Thousands of festival go-ers arrived at the three-day festival yesterday including Laura Whitmore, Amy Huberman, boxer Andy Lee and Sherlock star Andrew Scott.
Model Roz Purcell will head down today with her boyfriend, singer Niall Breslin, as part of her birthday celebrations.
Many set off early, including RTE's Jennifer Maguire who took part in annual fundraiser Tour de Picnic - cycling from Tallaght to the event.
"You know what they say about the early bird," Benita Hickson (20) from Rathgar said. "They get a good camping spot."
Today, 90s band Blur will chant about Parklife while soulful singer Sam Smith and Future Islands will belt out hits.
There's even something for families. Sisters Suzanne O'Connor, Samantha Whelan and Irene Lalor from Stradbally arrived along with their children.
"It's a great day for the kids," she said. "They get their faces painted and go to Fossett's Circus. It's a very safe and we get to listen to great music."
