Summer may be over, but thanks to Sligo Live you can have one last music-filled bash before the cold and dark evenings of winter kick in.

Sligo Live kicks off on the October bank holiday weekend, from October 26 to 31 with over 80 performances and 300 performers during the six days.

If you've already put your wellies away for the year, you'll be happy to hear that all of the events are indoors across Sligo town, meaning you don't have to worry about getting covered in mud.

Even better news if you're counting pennies - over 80% of performances are free.

Highlights of the festival include performances from Little Green Cars, Trad Sessions, The Saw Doctors and Paul Brady.

Free Sligo Live programme Arrivals will introduce emerging artists, including Enda Reilly, Nocturnes and The Wranglers.

Tickets are on sale from and, all Ticketmaster outlets and Hawk’s Well Theatre, Sligo (071 916 1518).
