Temple Bar TradFest presents the cream of both Irish and international trad and folk artists in Dublin venues, from Wednesday January 28 to Sunday February 1. Performers include Cara Dillon, pictured, and there'll be a taste trail and exhibitions. www.templebartrad.com


'With Bread', an exhibition of photographs, sculpture and video by artist Abigail O'Brien, explores the magical process that takes place in the making of bread and its centrality in human daily life, and will run at Limerick City Gallery of Art until March 13. www.gallery.limerick.ie


Excitement is building over Sara Baume - who won the 2014 Davy Byrnes Short Story Award for her story Solesearcher1 - and whose debut novel Spill Simmer Falter Wither, will be published next month by Tramp Press.
