Get ready for some weapons of mass percussion.
The KBC Great Music in Irish Houses Festival is bringing out the 'Big Guns' for the 14th-annual chamber music festival taking place this June.
Internationally renowned violinist Arabella Steinbacher will be taking to the stage at Killruddery House, Bray, while American pianist Richard Goode will entertain the troops at the Royal College of Physicians.
"They're like the Beyoncé and Jay-Z of the classical music world," festival director Ciara Higgins explained.
"I have been trying to get Richard Goode to come over for the past seven years. That's how in demand he is.
"Now he'll be making his Irish concert debut at the tender age of 71."
While these classical music superstars may be at the top of their game, Higgins assures us there are no diva-esque backstage demands.
"Some pop stars insist on all-white dressing rooms and chilled champagne, but all these guys want backstage is a bottle of water and a banana."
The KBC Music in Irish Houses Festival was launched at the Little Museum of Dublin this week and there were more harpists, flautists and cellists than you could shake a bow at.
"Nothing beats the smell of summer grass, the sound of Brahms and some breathtakingly beautiful architecture," Higgins said. And she's quite right too.
