There were thrills and spills at the annual international tattoo convention in Dublin over the weekend.

The festival of ink put on a display of technicolour talent, beautiful burlesque and eye-popping artwork.

Hundreds of world-renowned artists showcased their skills by tattooing clients on site in walk-up tattoo and piercing opportunities.

Star of 'Miami Ink' and reportedly one of the best inkers in the US Chris Garver was a huge draw as were Japan's Horimyo and Marco Bratt from The Netherlands. There were even live competitions including 'Tattoo Wars' between Rafal Gorski and Stefan Sramko.

The event also played host to the first ever Miss Pinup Ireland competition. Entertainment was provided by the Star Wars 501st Ireland Garrison as well as a 'Till Death Do Us Part Danger Show'.
