Fans say ‘girls rule the world’ as Survival Of The Fittest crowns winners

The girls triumphed over the boys in the final episode.

Survival Of The Fittest fans said seeing the girls team triumph on the reality show had “made my day” as they trumpeted “girls rule the world”.

The team of four women beat the male team in the final episode of the ITV2 show, when the group that finished an assault course in the fastest time was declared victorious.

The series pit the two teams against each other in a series of physical and mental challenges.

The girls team finished in 9 minutes and 58 seconds, while the boys team finished in 11 mins and 44 seconds.

One viewer said: “The girls winning survival of the fittest has made my day !!!”

Another wrote: “Absolutely buzzing!!!! girls actually RULE THE WORLD.”

Another viewer said: “Girls literally smashed this show. ‘It was so close’ … no babe there was 2 minutes in it”

One more said: “Well it is the year of the women after all you smashed it girls WELL DONE.”

The series is likely to return next year after ITV asked viewers keen to take part to register their interest in joining in a second outing.
