MALICIOUS: Jane prepares to trap innocent Paul

THEY say there is nothing worse than a woman scorned so Fair City's Jane better watch out.

No strangers to controversy, the Brennan clan are set for yet more drama this week when evil Jane manages to finally drive a wedge between Niamh and Paul.

For once Paul is innocent as Jane drugged him before taking compromising photos of the two of them in bed together.

But the businessman has form, so wife Niamh is left devastated when Jane tells her the story that her hubby has been unfaithful, which wouldn't be the first time.

The story, which has been bubbling slowly, will explode over the coming week when long-suffering Niamh discovers that scheming Jane was never really sick.

After blackmailing Paul into giving her €50,000, Jane left temporarily with son Callum and Niamh thinking she had gone for cancer treatment.

Once Niamh knows the truth she demands their money back, but in order to protect vulnerable Callum from his mother's lies she agrees not to say anything.

But it is one lie too far for Callum when he realises the full extent of the truth on his own and finally sees his mum Jane for what she really is.

Unstable Callum wants to take revenge on Paul by burning his car business to the ground, but the salesman manages to talk him down.

Desperate to turn the tables on Paul once again, Jane takes her chance and tells Niamh that she spent the night with him.

And knowing his past mistakes, Niamh believes her.
