The Dancing With The Stars cast and crew beat a path to 37 Dawson Street last night to unwind in style after a gruelling 12 weeks on the show.

All 11 contestants took the opportunity to let their hair down and have a well-deserved night on the town after the drama of recent weeks.

A huge area of the VIP haunt was reserved especially for the gang, who were all joined by friends and family as they celebrated the end of one of RTE's most successful series ever.

Top model Thalia Heffernan joined boyfriend Ryan McShane at the southside venue as they toasted the end of the programme, which led to their relationship blossoming.

Show winner Aidan O'Mahony enjoyed his first night out since becoming a dad with wife Denise Healy as he celebrated his victory in style.

"It's Denise's first time away from Lucia. Obviously I've been away three nights a week for the past few weeks but it's good for her to get out as well," he said.

"It's her first night out in three weeks."

Presenter Nicky Byrne was joined by his proud wife Georgina as they enjoyed a night away from their three young children.

Aoibhin Garrihy was joined by her husband John ahead of his trip to Everest.

Contestant Hughie Maughan appeared not to have learned from the "tan-gate" that dogged his time on the show, sporting a deep glow as he mingled with his co-stars.

Several well-known faces enjoyed finale night at Ardmore Film Factory in Bray, after getting coveted tickets to last night's showdown.

Among them was RTE director general Dee Forbes, alongside channel controller Adrian Lynch, amid speculation series two will be commissioned shortly.

Love/Hate actress Aoibhinn McGinnity was there supporting her good pal Denise McCormack, while Dragons' Den star Gavin Duffy was there with former Dragon Norah Casey.

They were invited out by ShinAwil producer Larry Bass, who also produces the business show.

Hometown singer Dayl Cronin was joined for the first time by his stunning girlfriend Nicole Lonergan, who has been touring for months with Riverdance.

Also, there was Hughie's mum Kathleen, alongside his fiance Ryan Ruckledge.
