He will perform with Brandee Malto during Fairytale Week, when he is due to skate to Hungry Like The Wolf by Duran Duran.
Hungry Like The Wolf for Fairytale Week? These tunes will Put A Spell On You, but who will be King (or queen) of the rink? Let's hope no Black Magic will leave anyone feeling Toxic this weekend... 🧙♂️🧝♀️ #DancingOnIce pic.twitter.com/L2zXOvBWON— Dancing On Ice (@dancingonice) February 22, 2018
A statement from ITV said: “Owing to illness, Max Evans’ partner Ale will not be performing this weekend. He will instead be dancing alongside Brandee Malto.”
Izquierdo wrote on Twitter: “Sad to announce that unfortunately I won’t be able to take part of the competition this Sunday due to being diagnosed with the flu.
“Wishing the best to my partner this Sunday. He will be skating with my really good friend Brandee! Im sure they will do really good! @maxevans13.”

Last month, Izquierdo stumbled whilst rehearsing a lift during rehearsals and was taken to hospital after the fall.
Evans will hope to win over judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Jason Gardiner and Ashley Banjo with a magical sequence with his new partner.
The other contestants still in the running are Brooke Vincent, Jake Quickenden and Kem Cetinay and Alex Beresford.
The show has returned after a four-year hiatus with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby back as hosts.
Dancing On Ice continues on ITV on Sunday night at 6pm.
