Des Bishop has insisted there is no rivalry between him and his younger brother Aidan.

The pair both work as comedians and Aidan has been a popular fixture on the Dublin comedy scene for years.

While the comedy world can be cut-throat, Des (40) insisted he doesn't worry about competing with his sibling.

"He is the one I worry about the least of all the people," he told the Herald.

"If something good happened to my brother, I would be the happiest man."

The New York native said any success Aidan would experience would mean more money for him.

"If Aidan ended up being super successful that would be more cash in the pool to help us do what we do."

Des pointed out he and Aidan have different styles of humour.

"I find him very funny. We live together in Ireland. We make each other laugh in our own way," he said.

"He's a very different performer to me, so I guess some people prefer his style."
