Daytime TV stars showcase their moves on Strictly

They swapped the TV studio for the dancefloor.

This Morning star Ruth Langsford will join the ranks of daytime TV stars who have twirled around the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor.

Here are some of the others who have gone before her.

Alison Hammond

Langsford’s This Morning colleague Alison Hammond was partnered with Aljaz Skorjanec in the 2014 series but was the sixth star to be axed from the show.

Susanna Reid

Good Morning Britain star Susanna Reid made it all the way to the final with partner Kevin Clifton but lost out on the glitter ball trophy to Abbey Clancy.

Naga Munchetty

Naga Munchetty and Pasha Kovalev (BBC)

BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty was the fourth star to be eliminated in the 2016 series after the judges opted to save singer Anastacia in the dance-off.

Lisa Riley

Loose Women star Lisa Riley competed in the 2012 series of the competition but was eliminated in the semi-final when Denise Van Outen made it through to the last stage.

Chris Hollins

BBC Breakfast sports correspondent Chris Hollins and partner Ola Jordan won the 2009 series of the competition after beating rivals Ricky Whittle and Natalie Lowe.
