10 Days in Dublin

This is a spree of about 200 acts including comedy, music, poetry and spoken word. The events are either free or around €10. You have emerging and more recherché comedians like David O'Doherty and James Walmsley; you have Howard Linnane in a one-man ponder of the poet Louis MacNeice at The Bleeding Horse; you have short films at the Sugar Club and a chance to go to Smock Alley theatre. Starting Over

So it's been 30 years since the artists moved in. Temple Bar Gallery & Studios celebrate this passing of time with an exhibition of works by four invited artists, curated by Mark O'Kelly. Ultra contemporary, the exhibition draws from John Lennon's song 'Starting Over' and the idea of generation. 5-9 Temple Bar; runs until August 17.

Galway Film FleaDh

A festival of international importance featuring new Irish work and films from all over the world. Old films, workshops, public interviews with the likes of Saoirse Ronan (pictured), and the world premiere of new Irish "recession comedy" Life's a Breeze.
