Coronation Street fans are pointing fingers at Michelle Connor’s former flame after a series of mysterious attacks culminated in her being kidnapped on Friday night.

Viewers of the ITV soap’s double bill saw Kym Marsh’s character panic as she suddenly woke up to find herself bound and gagged in a parked car, moments after she had been having a drink in the bar while somebody looked on.

It marked the latest and most extreme in a wave of attacks on her and partner Robert Preston’s (Tristan Gemmill) relationship, which have recently included threatening messages and an arson attempt on their bistro with a Molotov cocktail.

Earlier in the show, the pair had been on a double date with Maria Connor and Michelle’s ex Will, who recently returned to Weatherfield.

But show fans are starting to suspect the seemingly innocent character, with one posting on Twitter: “Will is definitely the stalker #Corrie.”

Another added: “Will is the stalker, calling it #corrie,” while one wrote: “It’s Will who has got her, I’m sure of it.”

The drama will continue next week, as Robert’s worries mount over his missing girlfriend.
