IT has been described as the worst kept secret in Ireland’s showbiz circles.
And after months of dodging questions, singer Bressie has finally admitted that he and Tipperary model Roz Purcell are an item.
The former Miss Universe Ireland was asked on several occasions in recent months about a budding romance with the ‘The Voice’ coach, but consistently maintained the pair were “just friends”.
However, with photos of the couple strolling into Roz’s Dublin home emerging last month, Bressie decided to come clean.
The singer, whose real name is Niall Breslin, said that he and Roz don’t want to put “pressure” on themselves, and are trying to keep the relationship out of the public spotlight.
Calling 22-year-old Roz “a sweetheart”, Bressie said that it’s still “very early days” and that they are both “private” people when it comes to their lives away from the cameras.
“It’s no one’s business really, I understand people are interested but once you start using it, it becomes something else,” he said.
“At the end of the day, the minute you start putting that stuff in the media and it blows up in your face, we don’t want to be part of that.”
