The theme of this year's Library Ireland Week is to be 'Librarians Transforming Lives'.

The week, which starts on Monday and runs until Sunday, December 2, and is organised by the Library Association of Ireland, seeks to raise the profile of libraries and information service professionals - showcasing their resources, facilities and services through dedicated programmes and events.

Throughout next week, public, special, business, health, law, academic, prison and government libraries all around Ireland will celebrate by showcasing their offering and engaging in a nationwide social media campaign.
