Having a whale of a time with children's tales
THEY are images that will be instantly recognisable to thousands of children – and the parents who read them their bedtime stories.
Illustrations from a number of popular children's books have gone on display at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) as part of the new 'Pictuir' exhibition.
They will transport parents and young children to far-away kingdoms, magical worlds and deep-sea expeditions.
It is an international touring exhibit of 21 of Ireland's leading children's book illustrators.
Illustrators in the exhibition include Lily Bernard, Tatiana Feeney and Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick. The exhibition opens tomorrow and runs until January 12.
