#FoodPorn: What can we expect from Chrissy Teigen’s cookbook?
Supermodel and funnywoman Chrissy Teigen has us eating out of the palm of her hand as she teases images from her hotly anticipated cookbook.
The 29-year-old is one of those rare breeds; a woman who can eat deep fried cheese and still retain a physique that regularly graces the pages of Sports Illustrated.
Refreshingly, here is a woman who enjoys her food, celebrates mealtimes, and is not afraid to declare her love for good old fashioned comfort food.
Thanks to the success of her food blog So Delushious and her ventures on America's Cooking Channel, the other-half of John Legend was approached to pen a cookbook of her favourite recipes.
The food bible has been almost a year in development, as she teamed up with food writer and recipe developer Adeena Sussman and enlisted Top Chef Masters judge Francis Lam as editor.
"For the book, it’s mostly, like, our household staples, the things I love to make for John, things I love cooking for our friends for Super Bowl Sunday, things for girls' nights, which I have all the time," the bubbly model told GrubStreet.com. "It’s really stuff that we truly love to eat — everything in the book is stuff we have once or twice a month, so it’s tried and true."
Teigen has also been teasing her legions of social media followers with photos of delectable dishes, photographed by Aubrie Pick.
Fans of the star can expect American classics like Cobb salad, crispy baked fries, buffalo chicken, homemade honey mustard ranch dressing and dishes inspired by her mixed heritage such as Thai porridge garnished with scallions and toasted garlic, and Korean-marinated beef kalbi.
No release date has been announced as of yet, but our mouths are watering already.
