Cecelia has novel approach to a year's baby leave
PS: Cecelia's back, with another book. Although she pledged to take a year out from writing after her daughter was born, a new book of short stories from Cecelia Ahern will be published on Wednesday.
The author is also putting the finishing touches to a novel that is due out in the autumn.
The 29-year-old has admitted she could not resist writing while baby Robin was asleep -- and she managed to complete a 90-page book .
Containing two short stories, Girl in the Mirror tells the story of a young woman called Lila who has found the man of her dreams -- but when a secret from her family's past comes to light on her wedding day, Lila's destiny changes in the most unexpected of ways.
"Girl in the Mirror is a kind of gothic thriller about a mirror which can steal your identity," Cecelia said.
The other story is called The Memory Maker and revolves around the idea that you never forget your first love.
"It's about an old man who invents a machine which can help input new memories into your mind, things you wish that you could have done or said," Cecelia explained.
Cecelia, who married her long-term boyfriend David Keoghan last June, has only been seen in public a few times since Robin's birth in December 2009 and will not be giving interviews for her latest book. However, her next full- length novel is entitled Love and will be published next October.
Cecelia's keeping the plot close to her chest. "I can't tell you the premise," she said, "because I never give anything away until I'm finished."
