bruno's back – but can he track down killer?

A welcome return of Bruno, chef de police in the little town of St Denis in the Dordogne in south-west France.

In this investigation, money from a legendary train robbery carried out by the Resistance in 1944 in nearby Neuvic turns up in the town. Coincidentally, the town has been hit by a wave of burglaries, one of which ended in the murder of an important Englishman with a holiday home in the area. It sets off alarm bells in Paris.

More murder and mayhem follows, but Bruno is more than capable of resolving the mystery even at considerable risk to his own life.

A charming yet razor-sharp crime novel from an author who wears his love for la France profonde on his sleeve.
