Unlikely obstacle delays some Kerry fans on their way to Croke Park

An unlikely obstacle has delayed some Kerry fans on their way to face Mayo in Croke Park today.

Both sides will be hoping to get to the stadium for throw-in at 3.30pm, but nobody could have factored this into their journey time.

Killian Burns, who sent the video to Independent.ie, got stuck in a traffic jam behind a loose camel yesterday in Castlegregory, Co Kerry.

The camel is believed to be from a nearby circus.

A dog in the car, named Scout, wasn’t that impressed by what he was seeing and started barking at the two-humped camel.

“Alright Scout? Don’t worry about it,” the dog is told.

The lads in the car laugh it off as “class” and continue on their way to see who’ll be progressing to the All-Ireland Football Championship Final.

“There isn't a man woman, child or animal left in Kerry for this #KerryvMayo match except of course for this camel,” Killian tweeted.

It is unclear at this time whether the camel was just trying to make his own way to the game.
