A Facebook event to mark the launch of a Dublin deli is being hilariously trolled by users.

Staff at Costcutter on the Malahide Road created an event to celebrate the official opening of the store, but users have taken the opportunity to inundate the page.

"It is our pleasure to announce that our official opening will host a range of deals and special prices exclusive to Costcutter on the Malahide Road," reads the information section of the event.

"It will be a day not to be missed with Dublins No. 1 Hit Music Station, and some other surpirses. More info to come."

Since the event was created, 2,400 people have said they will attend, with a further 1,300 saying they're interested.

There are nearly 400 posts on the page, with people using it as if it's a nightclub event.

"What's the set list and DJ times?" reads one post.

When do the VIP camping tickets go on sale?" reads another.

"What's the policy on readmissions? If I buy a few bread rolls then remember the milk, will I have to queue all over again?"

"What's the dress code?"

Who needs Electric Picnic when you've got this, right?
