What a difference a 'do makes... 'Dulux' dog unrecognisable after dramatic haircut
This Old English Sheepdog (or as we know them, the 'Dulux' dog) is virtually unrecognisable after his trip to the hairdressers for an extreme change of style.
Here are the before and after photos of Max after his much-needed haircut – and the groomers decided to give him a completely new look. He had his mass of fur cut off and is now sporting a much tidier haircut.
Noel, a volunteer with Donegal Pet Rescue told Independent.ie that Max really needed the new do, as his fluffy locks are prone to getting tangled quite easily.
“If Max is out just playing in the dirt, his fur can get tangled,” he said.
The dog is between 3 and 4 years old, and Donegal Pet Rescue are now looking for a new adoptive home for Max.
“Max has a great nature and loves other dogs. He is really lovely and is perfectly healthy,” he added.
“Anyone thinking of adopting Max should do their research, as he will need some grooming daily, and professional grooming every 6 weeks to ensure he does not get matted again.”
Noel explained that Max came back into their care after he had been adopted by a family, but didn’t settle in his new home.
“Max was originally adopted by a really lovely family, but he just didn’t settle in, and his owners felt it wouldn’t be fair to keep him if he wasn’t happy,” he said.
He added that Max is a very strong dog, so he will need an experienced owner.
Max is very strong dog and will need an experienced owner,” Noel added. “He does have a habit of jumping up on you, but we are currently working on this, and he really is so friendly.”
