July 4 was an especially traumatic day for him as his neighbours celebrated Independence Day. As soon as he heard the fireworks go off, he jumped into his parents' bed, something that he knows he's not supposed to do.
His owner, Emily Kuang (18) from California, told Buzzfeed that little Joey is "afraid of cats and loud noises".
So, to calm his nerves, his mum made an exception and allowed him to stay on her bed. She put a pair of earphones on his head to drown out the noises and played a dog video from a Chinese news app on her iPad.
It did the trick and Joey's nerves were instantly calmed.

Emily shared the video of his chill time on Twitter in a post that's been shared over 100,000 times.
It's just a three-second clip but it's bringing about all the feels in Twitter.
