WATCH: Sydney GAA club mark 1916 centenary with giant beach tribute

A Sydney-based GAA has paid poignant tribute to the 1916 Rising.
Cormac McAnallens GAA invited people to join them on Maroubra Beach on Sunday to mark the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Rising.
"Along with the many Gaels of NSW GAA we joined together and marked the occasion with a Word Formation of '1916, 2016 Eire'," reads a post on Facebook.
The club also posted a video of the stunning event accompanied by a reading of the Proclamation.

Reaction to the video has been overwhelming with people congratulating the club on the effort.
"Absolutely brilliant tribute to our heroes of 1916. Our Proclamation Is One He'll Of A Document. The Words Are Just Jawdropping. Well done to everyone involved," wrote one.
Another added, "That is nothing short of class."
We have to agree.
