Is that you, Michael Flatley?

TV presenter, sports fan and all-round good guy James Corden has debuted his Irish dancing skills on television.

Corden kept his back straight and his legs moving when he joined in with the Riverdance crew on his US chat show, The Late Late Show with James Corden.

"When I was in high school... being a cheerleader signified that you were one of the hot, popular girls, someone who would laugh at my face when I asked them out on a date," Corden quipped before the dance.

"Why do sports have cheerleaders anyway? You only need one thing to get an audience started... and that's alcohol.

"Can I get my crew out here?" he asked before the iconic tune of Riverdance began.

The presenter welcomed a troupe of dancers to demonstrate a real dance-off with classic Riverdance.

The Riverdance team is currently travelling across North America in its 20th Anniversary World Tour.
