Video: New York cabbies shoot 'sexy' calendar for charity
New York taxi drivers have taken part in 'sexy' photoshoots for a charity calendar which was the brainchild of Phil Kirkman.
The yellow cab is one of the iconic sites of New York City, but now a new calendar is trying to make the cab drivers another iconic site.
Phil Kirkman, Creator, 'New York Taxi Calendar' said: "I thought of the idea a few years ago. The original idea was to shoot my brother as a gag gift for his wife for Christmas. So from there we decided we wanted to expand the idea to something iconic for New York".
To create the calendar Kirk drafted in the help of his fiancé and freelance photographer Shannon McLoughlin, together they scoured the internet for willing subjects.
They got responses from 15 drivers, and of that 15, seven ended up modelling for them with some brilliant and hilarious results.
But were the drivers happy?
Photographer, Shannon McLaughlin said: " They loved it, it was a very, very positive reaction. One of the drivers said his wife thinks he is super sexy now".
Currently the pair have sold 4,000 calendars and have had very positive responses from customers.
All proceeds from the calendar sales will go to The University Settlement charity, which supports low income and immigrant families.
