A video depicting the full extent of the manipulation in mainstream images of models has gained almost 100,000 views online.

The video, created by GlobalDemocracy and posted in May 2012, was an awareness campaign to encourage viewers to support their campaign for mandatory disclaimers on all photos of airbrushed models.

The video has taken off recently, being featured on websites like the Huffington Post and Buzzfeed.

Many young women feel pressure to look like the models in their favourite magazines, and what this video shows is that even the model doesn't look anything like the model.

This video may be an exaggeration of truth or it may be an accurate reflection of the process, but it's certainly raised the question of how far is too far for Photoshop.

Jennifer Lawrence said this year about her Vanity Fair photos "I don't look like that! Nobody looks like that."

Britney Spears was widely praised for releasing her before and after Photoshop shots to highlight this issue, although she did recieve some criticism on her 'before' shots.
