Fifteen minutes later he said the bus was warm and the Leap card is great.
He explained that he "flew thro" Stepaside, Sandyford, Dundrum and Milltown. "One less car on road! Mind you 44 was almost empty."
The tweets were met with a mixture of humour and anger with many pointing out that most people are in work before 9am.
Another user questioned if it was his "first time" taking the bus.
