A Cork chipper surprised some mammies in a local hospital with a special Mother's Day delivery.
Murphy's take-away in Blackpool received a request from a local customer on Sunday afternoon.
The customer, Vivienne O'Sullivan, posted a message on the chipper's Facebook page to see if they could deliver some fish and chips to a patient in Mercy Hospital.
She explained that it was the patient's one wish for Mother's Day.
"I'm working in the Mercy Hospital today. I was talking to one of the elderly patients on our ward this morning about Mother's Day and she said her one wish today would be some fish and chips from Murphy's Chipper," she wrote on Facebook.
Vivienne explained that she would have obliged the patient's request but she couldn't give special treatment to one person without getting the other patients involved so she reached out to the chipper to see if they could make a special delivery to all the mothers on the ward.
"I reached out to Richard from Murphy's chipper and he went above and beyond in sending over fish suppers for all of the mammys here on St Joseph's Ward this evening."
